Ambiguity was one of the scary aspects of my short story that was probably overlooked; I tried to keep a large amount of the backgrounds of the characters and their names to be kept hidden to try to allow the reader to ask them selves why the people act as they do. I think that when a reader doesn’t know all the answers that they appreciate the work more. The fact that the monster is a senator was showing that anyone can be a monster and that is one of the scariest things in my opinion. Another monster concept is the way society acted towards the girl after leaving her father’s house she could be accepted by society so she became a hooker. Not only is the senator a monster because he has the ability to be a monster and he uses his ability to hurt others. The resolution is in a way is saying that the bad guy won and will never be caught.
